Built into a hillside in Western Washington's damp climate, this house began to collect water in the basement. In addition to sealing the foundation, the water coming downhill had to be diverted.
Quirk designed and built a collector sand diverter and some raised garden beds to divert the flow. The space works well as a patio, providing private and beautiful outdoor space for the homeowners.
